Williamsburg is a neighborhood in New York City’s borough of Brooklyn, stretching from Flushing Avenue west to the East River, and from Bushwick Avenue south to Kent Avenue. Williamsburg is truly a destination for people of all ages and ethnicities, and offers something for everyone. Historically, the area was home to a wide range of people from all over the world, and over the past twenty years the area has become a major artistic center, making the area known for its "hippie" culture. To appeal to this young community, Williamsburg saw a major revitalization of the neighborhood, resulting in many trendy restaurants, a lively nightlife, and multitude of celebrated art galleries that rival the ones in SoHo and lower Manhattan. Only one stop from Manhattan on the L-train, Williamsburg offers the hip, vibrant aspects of city life without the crowdedness or the commotion. And with historic brownstones, refurbished lofts, and luxury high-rises, you’re guaranteed to find a place that’s perfect for you.
