Williamsburg is a neighborhood in New York City’s borough of Brooklyn, stretching from Flushing Avenue west to the East River, and from Bushwick Avenue south to Kent Avenue. Williamsburg is truly a destination for people of all ages and ethnicities, and offers something for everyone. Historically, the area was home to a wide range of people from all over the world, and over the past twenty years the area has become a major artistic center, making the area known for its "hippie" culture. To appeal to this young community, Williamsburg saw a major revitalization of the neighborhood, resulting in many trendy restaurants, a lively nightlife, and multitude of celebrated art galleries that rival the ones in SoHo and lower Manhattan. Only one stop from Manhattan on the L-train, Williamsburg offers the hip, vibrant aspects of city life without the crowdedness or the commotion. And with historic brownstones, refurbished lofts, and luxury high-rises, you’re guaranteed to find a place that’s perfect for you.

If you’re in the mood for tapas (and excellent cocktails), Bar Celona (104 S. 4th Street) is the place to go, while Fette Sau (354 Metropolitan Ave) is the favorite spot for great barbecue. For the best brunch in the neighborhood, try egg (135 N. 5th Street), and for a good steak, head over to renowned Peter Luger’s (178 Broadway).
